Villa Verde

When you re ready to escape to a wonderful new world, Villa Verde awaits you, right in the center of the Caribbean s most renowned (or classiest) 6 star resort, Casa de Campo.

You ll be radiating with joyfulness from the moment you enter this open-to-nature villa, so engulfed in green, indoors and out. The 8,000 square foot lush tropical garden surrounds a magical pool, poised on the edge of the famous Country Club golf course (designed by Pete Dye), which is also the sublime view from all four bedrooms.

The master is nothing short of masterful, with a 20 foot high ceiling (only to be trumped by the living room ceiling at 30 feet), its own living room with a sofa bed, jacuzzi and big windows opening to a private garden. The other 3 bedrooms each have two beds, and all four have air conditioning, ceiling fans, TVs, safe boxes and full bathrooms.

There s also a studio/TV room with a DVD plus a dock and speakers for your iPod. You ll certainly enjoy the dining table for 12, and beautiful hand-painted wooden furniture.

The only problem is that you won t want to there s so much to do, with convenient access to all the facilities and accoutrements of Casa de Campo, accessible by walking or with your complimentary golf cart, to the three famous golf courses, tennis center, the marina with its yachting and gourmet restaurants, swimming and sunning on the sands of Minitas beach, paddleboarding in the gorge of the Chavon river, training in the health club and dining in the quaint, folkloric colonial town of Altos de Chavon, which is also inside Casa de Campo.

Despite all the tempting activities, some days you ll just want to stay home, revel in the beauty of the garden gazebo with its lounging area and another dining table for ten, and the pool, looking out to 10th hole, watching the coconut palms dancing.

The only thing you won t do… is work. The villa comes with a 24 hour butler/concierge, plus a maid and a chef every day until 5, available to stay later for a nominal fee. Daily cleaning, linens and towels are included; personal laundry and ironing (and everything you need) can be arranged. Meals upon request, and tailored to your desires.
