Tucked away on a quiet side street in the picturesque Village of Rockport, Landfall offers privacy and calm, yet it’s just a short walk to Old Garden Beach and only 3/10 of a mile to Rockport with its shops, restaurants and concert hall.

Enter the sweet yard from its old-fashioned gate and proceed to the classic front door and foyer. Ahead of you is the open plan kitchen with table and chairs and small den with a pull-out sofa. Just beyond is the living room with lots of comfortable seating, beautiful pine floors and a big picture window overlooking the back yard with its mature plantings. The sun porch with its tiled floors also serves as the dining room with doors that open on to the deck and the lovingly cared for yard. There is a single bedroom on this level, a full bath with shower, and laundry.

Outside is the most beautiful stone wall that is almost sculptured evoking Robert Frost’s poem “Something there is that doesn’t love a wall.” There are woods beyond the wall providing extra privacy.

Upstairs, are 4 more bedrooms in an unconventional pattern, telling the story of the home’s history and its owners as they added rooms and shaped their futures. There are two full tiled baths on this level: one — with walk in shower and one with tub and shower combination. The bed configuration is a double, 2 singles, a queen and a full.

Nearby is the town of Gloucester, where guests can enjoy more beaches, whale watches, and the bustling downtown area. There is also nearby access to the commuter rail where can guests can take a short ride and enjoy both Boston and Salem.
